Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Tamil as well as Telugu films, in addition to some Malayalam films. The actress was honoured with the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 in the role of actress Savitri and her role in the Telugu film Mahanati. Other awards she has won comprise the three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South, and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy has the father of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her career began in early 2000s, as a young actor. She returned to film after completing her studies in the field of fashion. Her first leading role was in 2013's Malayalam movie Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy began working on films that weren't Malayalam in the year 2015. The actress also signed on to be a part of several Tamil films at the same time. Her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. It was not an immediate success in the box office. To make room for larger projects due to her hectic schedule, she opted out of some films, that she began to work on. It included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a love story) and Deekay's Kavalaivendam. The actress was in two films that came out in quick succession, together with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note in Prabhu's Thodari. The film has been delayed from 2015 with reports that the film will release after September 2020, under the new name Janakitho Nenu. In the end, the film's first film to debut was in 2016's Nenu Sailaja featuring actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay In Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on January 17, 2017.
