Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on 25th November 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian actor and singer who has been honored for her outstanding contributions to American television. Her most well-known work is her incredible performances on American television shows like Law & Order (where she was awe-inspiring to viewers for three seasons as prosecutor Claire Kincaid) and Crossing Jordan (where she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh). Hennessy is also well-known for her stellar performances on RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Other films comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) as well as The Acting Class. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she along with her sister acted as twin characters in Dead Ringers. The actress sat for a few minutes on Broadway in the musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, after which she moved into science fiction in 1993 as the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the same year, she was promoted to assistant prosecutor Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. This character captivated viewers for three seasons until the show ended in 1996. Parker has appeared on movies and series like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys On The Side, West Wing Angels In America and RED Fried Green Tomatoes for which she won a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award. Parker was also honored with an Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her performance as Proof in the musical Proof on Broadway.
