Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish background. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County in California when she was seven years old. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder who read a lot when she was 12, became a bookworm because Ryder did not have access to television. Ryder aged 12 took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Lucas, a 1986 film that she was in, was her debut major part. Ryder was only fifteen when she landed the role. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her thought was that by becoming an actor her behaviour was going to be corrected. However, it didn't come to pass. She continued to pursue her ambitions. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big breakthrough. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her role on The Age of Innocence (1993).
